This apartment is located in the heart of the Portuguese capital. Integrated in a distinguished hotel, we were asked to develop a project for a single man client. One of our concerns was not to mischaracterize the space, which was initially in line with the rest of the hotel. The remodelling started in the pantry, entrance of the apartment, and included the small refurbishment done in the sanitary installation. In this project we were asked to develop a space where it was possible to work and also host friends comfortably. We invested on masculine colours but we still used those touches of color that always bring liveliness to a space. The woods were kept according to the register already present in the hotel, only adding notes of color in materials such as lacquered MDF. The textures were deliberately sober but always with the concern of obtaining a space with the maximum possible comfort. The light was also studied so that one would never feel that there was only one window per room. In this project we were attentive to using nothing more than what was essential. The objective was to create a hotel apartment, that is, a practical and functional apartment but with the personal touch of its owner.
