Founded 20 years ago by Heidi Barnes, Barnes is today an international leader in high-end residential real estate. In 2016, they opened their first boutique in Lisbon, at Chiado. We were proposed to develop a "Barnes" environment, something that would follow the concept already devised for their Boutiques around the world. We developed a project with very well defined guidelines, from the desired white and gray base colours, as the concept of the Boutique, to a welcoming and at the same time contemporary store. The plant was divided into 4 areas, the first for reception, the second for meetings, the third for work and the fourth for services. The central module is the most prominent part of the space, as well as the entire ceiling. It was our intention to keep in sight all the brick placed there at the time of the construction of the building, and use it to convey space, history and colour. Since the plant had a rectangular shape and only two natural light sources, the choice of the glass, wall colours and lighting were essential to bring as much light as possible to the various spaces. In short, in this space we wanted to keep the roots of the original construction visible, to characterize the boutique as being of "Lisbon" and to give it that light that only our capital has. A light that we intend to maintain in the space and in the future business of the client.
